(free and open to the public)
Join us to celebrate the opening of the Curatorial Research Bureau, an exciting new partnership between California College of the Arts, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and Bureau for Open Culture.
Peruse over hundreds of titles on art, design, architecture, poetry, film, and critical theory by writers, publishers, and cultural institutions from around the world supplied in part by Berlin-based Motto Books. CRB inventory also reflects conditions closer to home—the cultural, urban, and academic contexts of the Bay Area and California. Enjoy a cocktail. Listen to music.
Guests are also invited to visit the current exhibition Bay Area Now 8, YBCA’s signature triennial of Bay Area-based artists, featuring the works of CCA alumni Sofía Córdova, Rhonda Holberton, and Woody De Othello and current faculty Sita Kuratomi Bhaumik, Josh Faught, and Urban Works Agency.
