Programs

CRB is host to programs that transform the familiar consumer site of a bookshop into bookshop/screening, bookshop/seminar, or bookshop/artist talk. The platform uses consumerism to eschew the private space of academia and public space of exhibition to, above all, forge a learning site where intersections among art, design, education, and consumer culture push against the ways that institutions address audiences.

Four programmatic models—AfterWord, Call + Response, Case Studies, and Open Seminar—serve as primary means to contextualize topics that have our attention as a community.
